PCA Choice

About this Program

Individuals, both children and adults, with disabilities, chronic diseases, behavioral diagnoses and mental illness who need assistance with personal care in their home or in the community may be eligible for PCA Choice services.

Through the PCA Choice program, participants can receive help with routine activities that people tend to do every day such as eating, bathing, dressing, mobility, as well as other health-related tasks, behaviors, and more.

Individuals are empowered to recruit, hire and train their own PCAs who provide their care and MRCI will serve as a fiscal intermediary to provide a high level of oversight with employment (background checks, for example) and management-related functions (payroll processing needs such as worker’s compensation, union dues, and other payroll taxes) of their PCA.
